When considering purchasing a service through STUNET, every student and their representative need to understand the refundable aspects of the process. Familiarizing oneself with the refund policy is crucial to comprehend and agree to it. By acknowledging these refund regulations before any financial transaction, one must unequivocally accept our procedure, leaving no room for debate or opposition once the process commences. It is incumbent upon each student or client to visit our website and request a copy of this document from a company representative, ensuring a voluntary decision to engage STUDENT services as an intermediary with institutions, companies, embassies, insurers, service providers, or other affiliated entities. These policies are accessible on the website (www.stunet.com.au) and are consistently available to the public. It is important to note that these are the exclusive refund policies of STUNET, while each institution (educational providers, cultural exchange organizations, insurers, accommodation providers, airlines, etc.) upholds its refund policies, which should be obtained by the student or client before any financial commitment. Adherence to both STUNET’s Policies and those of each Institution is mandatory when seeking any form of refund.
EDUCATION PROVIDER ENROLLMENT: Upon selecting a program of study, the student will remit to STUNET the specified amount as per the service agreement for enrolling in the chosen program. Payment should be processed through the designated channels provided by the company. This fee encompasses the initial administrative and operational procedures leading to registration with the educational institution, with the option for the student to request a copy. It constitutes a component of the total cost and is thus fully attributable to the study program. By making this payment, the student initiates the process.
Participating in a study abroad program has commenced, and under all circumstances, it is non-refundable.
Some institutions that STUNET collaborates with require students to make an initial partial payment for tuition, materials, and registration fees while their visas are being processed. If applicable, a STUNET representative will instruct the student to make this initial partial payment, which typically ranges from 25% to 50% of the total cost, depending on the institution’s guidelines. This payment serves as an advance for educational expenses, with the remaining balance due by the deadline specified in the institution’s offer letter. Refund policies vary among education providers, and specific conditions apply if a student decides to discontinue the process.
Some institutions that STUNET collaborates with require confirmation of full payment of course tuition before initiating the visa application process. This payment may encompass «additional expenses» beyond registration, such as study materials, registration fees, airfares, airport reception, accommodation reservations, etc., and should be detailed in the institution’s offer. The full payment must be settled at the specified time by the educational or service provider. The student is responsible for covering the costs of international bank transfers, with the tuition transfer being the student’s responsibility, ensuring accurate fee conversions. STUNET will validate the receipt of the transfer. Any shortfall due to currency fluctuations on the transfer day is the student’s responsibility. This full payment serves as a commitment by the student to finalize the registration process, guaranteeing STUNET’s decision. Refund terms are applicable if the student opts to discontinue the process, with varying policies across education providers.
REFUNDS: If a student opts to terminate their study abroad process or visa renewal, regardless of the reason or timing, after the initial partial payment, $1,000 US will be retained from the student’s payment for administrative costs related to process cancellation. To initiate the refund process, the student must furnish a written request for process cancellation and refund to STUNET. The refund will be processed within a maximum time frame of six (6) months from the date of submission of the cancellation request, and upon STUNET receiving reimbursement from the educational institution.
If a student opts to cancel their course or renewal process post visa approval, $1,000 US will be deducted from their payment for «administrative expenses for cancellation of the process.» To request a refund, the student must submit a written request for cancellation and refund within six (6) months from the date of the letter submission. Once classes commence, any payment or deposit made to STUNET is non-refundable. Notably, changing programs may negatively impact the visa status in various countries.
In the event of a denial of the student’s visa, the refund of the initial partial tuition payment will be processed within a maximum period of six (6) months, subject to the following clauses:
- If the visa denial is a result of inconsistent or partially untrue information provided by the student and/or their representative to STUNET and/or the immigration authorities or embassy, $550 US will be deducted from the fee payment.
- If a visa is denied due to a student’s failure to provide relevant information to STUNET, the immigration department, and/or the Embassy, $550 US will be deducted from the fee payment.
- When a visa is denied due to insufficient financial evidence from the student to prove financial stability, as required by the immigration department and/or the Embassy, STUNET may recommend verbally or in writing that the student receives a refund of $550 US from the total amount paid.
- If a visa denial is issued by an immigration department or an embassy of a country deemed high-risk for visa denials based on the student’s nationality, and the student has been duly cautioned, whether verbally or in writing, yet chooses to proceed, $550US will be deducted from the fee payment.
- In the event of a visa denial issued by an immigration department or the Embassy of a country for reasons beyond STUNET’s control, $550 US of the initial payment will be retained.
- When a refund originates from an external entity, its refund protocols must be adhered to, resulting in a deduction percentage based on the reasons. The deadline for this reimbursement is a maximum of six (6) months from the date of refund application submission on STUNET and at the institution.
The platform search engine to be utilized for currency conversion will be https://www.xe.com/currencyconverter based on the current exchange rate at the moment of the refund.
INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL ASSISTANCE REIMBURSEMENT: Following payment of the international medical insurance reimbursement will be arranged based on the insurance policies. It is important to note that STUNET acts as an intermediary, not the insurance provider. Our role is to facilitate prompt access to essential medical services. Any concerns regarding medical treatment should be directed to the insurance issuer.
AIRLINE TICKETS: STUNET provides air ticket reservation services as an intermediary for airlines and /or travel agencies. Refund policies for canceled tickets not used must be arranged directly with the travel agency of ticket purchase. STUNET acts solely as an intermediary and any issues with tickets, flight cancellations, or discrepancies should be addressed with the ticket issuer. STUNET holds no liability in this regard. It is important to note that plane tickets should only be purchased once the visa is in the client’s possession. The client/student bears full responsibility for any costs incurred due to flight cancellations, date changes, penalties, or fare differences imposed by airlines or travel agencies, releasing STUNET from any obligations. Clients/students are responsible for verifying visa requirements for countries on their travel itinerary with the respective travel agency.
ACCOMMODATION: It is important to note that STUNET acts as an intermediary, not an accommodation provider. Any concerns regarding accommodation should be directed to the entity providing it, with a copy to STUNET. Academies typically request student arrival information around 5 days before the commencement of classes for homestay arrangements and visa approval. The confirmation time for accommodation varies based on seasonal factors and availability. Various accommodation options are available through different providers, allowing students to select the most suitable one for their requirements.
REGISTRATION FOR EXCHANGE PROGRAMS: Upon selecting an exchange program (au pair, demi pair, w & h, etc.), clients are required to make payment to STUNET corresponding to the chosen program. Payment should be conducted solely on platforms approved by STUNET through the education agent. This fee encompasses administrative and operational procedures leading to enrollment in the chosen program. It constitutes a portion of the total cost, with 100% payable towards the selected program. This payment initiation signifies the commencement of the process and is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Summary of non-refundable charges for STUNET:
- Enrollment fee for the study program (once registered)
- Immigration fee (value of the visa study paid to the immigration departments and or Embassies)
- Value canceled by translation of documents (if realized by STUNET)
- Air ticket.
- The penalty percentages are described in this document.
